Frequently Asked Questions
What is JobSite Recon?
JobSite Recon is a professional site-assessment platform for the trades. Contractors, subcontractors, and construction professionals use it to leave peer ratings on jobsite addresses and other trade businesses.
Is JobSite Recon free?
Yes. Basic accounts have limited search and review generation. Premium unlocks unlimited search and review generation, advanced filters, and direct messaging.
Who can submit a rating?
Any contractor, subcontractor, tradesperson, or general contractor with a registered JobSite Recon account can submit a rating after completing a project. Accounts registered with a business email domain receive a Verified Business badge — this reflects the email domain, not independent confirmation of any specific job.
What can I rate on the platform?
The platform supports two separate, text-free rating tracks:
JobSite Complexity Score (1–10): Left for a specific property address. 1 is the most complex site, 10 is the least complex. Reflects physical and logistical conditions only — access, terrain, layout, and utilities.
Contractor Operational Rating (1–10): Left for a general contractor or subcontractor. 1 is least favorable, 10 is most favorable. Reflects operational execution on a specific job — scheduling, coordination, and logistics. This is not a character or trustworthiness rating.
Note: All ratings reflect the personal, subjective opinion of the individual who submits them — they are not verified or factual findings.
Which address do I rate?
For a JobSite Complexity Score: Search the physical address where the field work took place.
For a Contractor Operational Rating: Search the dedicated commercial business address of the contractor you are rating. Peer contractor ratings are never posted to residential home addresses.
How does Direct Messaging work?
A Premium feature for general professional coordination between verified accounts — discussing a job, a quote, or a business opportunity. Direct messaging is a tool for general trade communication and is not a channel for elaborating on or explaining a specific rating.
Does JobSite Recon cover my area?
Yes. JobSite Recon supports addresses nationwide — search by street, city, or ZIP, or use the Nearby tab.
